Programmes

Africa 2000 uses a community specific, rather than a one size fits all approach in designing projects. Women empowerment is at the heart of all our projects. Africa 2000 runs 3 programmes: Employment, Education and Wellbeing.

Employment

1. Employment programme(UK)

UK Programme that helps under employed and new African immigrants in the UK to acquire office and computer skills to enable them compete for jobs. It organises workshops and seminars in churches, mosques and community organisations to inform Africans about opportunities in the UK economy.

2. Economic Empowerment Programme (Nigeria)

The aim of this programme is to develop the capacity and skills of members of socially and economically disadvantaged persons and communities in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and participate more fully in society.
