Professor Haruna Kazeem, Trustee (Nigeria) Africa 2000 Co-ordinator of Agriculture and Rural Development Programmes
Kazeem is a Doctor of veterinary medicine. He lectures and is currently the  Head of Department of Veterinary Microbiology, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria,  Nigeria where he graduated in 1980. He is a professor of Virology and Research  fellow of the College of Veterinary Surgeons of Nigeria. He has attended or organized several  international conferences. He has several publications to his credit and has undertaken  research projects on various problems affecting animals.  Prof. Kazeem oversees the agricultural programme of Africa 2000. He condemns the high  level of hunger in Africa despite the huge agriculture resources of the continent. He applies  his personal and professional experience and competencies to design and implement projects  aimed at achieving better food production by improving livestock, controlling animal diseases  and secure livelihood for people in our rural communities.
